DER KNETMATZ was founded in February 1993 by Elke Lüdemann. The

first product to be launched was was some play dough, easy to shape, after which the company was named. DER KNETMATZ has specialised in designing, and sometimes redesigning, therapeutic "niche products" such as educational games that stimulate the senses and promote mobility. These games have been produced after extensive tests in nurseries, schools, therapeutic institutions and with her own children.

The motto of this small company is: "SINNVOLL WAHRNEHMEN" - “being aware of all the senses“ /“perceiving full of sense“.

The KNETMATZ products are easy to recognise, because (nearly) all of them have -MATZ at the end. A number of the products now have the “spiel gut“ label of recommendation, such as the LUFTMÄTZE – balloon covers now available in a variety of colours, shapes and materials.

DER KNETMATZ products initially appear to be very therapeutic, but when you look a bit closer you will realise that these games have a high level of stimulation, and their simplicity gives them a special appeal in these times of complex “media worlds“!
